The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources mobilized a team to help dugongs on Libong Island, Trang Province, after finding a herd of more than 30 dugongs, including two with ropes around their tails, causing injuries. Officials used drones and boats to track them down, but have not been able to catch them yet. They need to plan for continued rescue efforts.
On May 8, 2025, a team of officers from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) in collaboration with relevant agencies, including the Lower Andaman Sea Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, the Upper Andaman Sea Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, the Office of Marine and Coastal Resources 7 (MCCO7), the Marine National Park Operation Center 3, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, and Mr. Thirasak Saksrithawi, a volunteer drone pilot, went to the area to survey and help a dugong with a rope around its tail in the area of Koh Libong, Koh Libong Subdistrict, Kantang District, Trang Province, using drones to track and a boat team to attempt to capture the dugong and remove the rope around its tail. สล็อตเว็บตรง
